About Bhagavad Gita Chapter 6 - Dhyana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita Chapter 6 - Dhyana Yoga के बारे में
Dhyana Yoga (also known as Atma Samyama Yoga) focuses on meditation and mind control. Krishna explains "Yoga" as the disconnection from union with pain.
He gives practical instructions on posture, diet, and sleep habits for a meditator. One should find a secluded place, sit with a straight spine, and focus the mind. Moderation is key—yoga is not for one who eats too much or too little, sleeps too much or too little.
Arjuna complains that the mind is restless and harder to control than the wind. Krishna admits this but assures him that with practice (Abhyasa) and detachment (Vairagya), it can be mastered. He also consoles Arjuna about the fate of a "fallen yogi"—affirming that spiritual progress is never lost; one picks up where they left off in the next life.
Lessons from Chapter 6
अध्याय 6 से शिक्षा
The Mind: Friend or Foe?
मन: मित्र या शत्रु?
For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his mind will remain the greatest enemy.
Moderation
संतुलित जीवन
Success in Yoga is not for those who eat too much or eat too little, nor for those who sleep too much or are always awake.
Life Lessons for You

You are Your Own Best Friend
Self-discipline is self-love. When you control your mind and habits, you are helping yourself. When you let bad habits rule you, you are acting as your own enemy.
Consistency is Key
Mind control doesn't happen overnight. Just as you train a muscle, you must train the mind through consistent practice (Abhyasa) and letting go of distractions (Vairagya).
